Meet Ashandgas, a talented artist hailing from Gwinnett County, Georgia. With a musical journey spanning eight years, Ash is passionate about spreading positive energy through her unique style.

Despite the occasional aggressive tone in their rap, Ash sees it as therapeutic, a form of self-expression that resonates with those who connect with their emotions. While her roots are in Gwinnett, Ash found substantial support on both the north and south sides, especially after spending some time in Henry County.

The name “Ash and Gas” originated from a casual conversation about smoking, evolving from an Instagram name to a representation of being lit and under pressure. When it comes to creating music, Ash leans towards freestyling, though producers have suggested incorporating more writing for added creativity.

Influenced by personal experiences and the world around her, Ash draws inspiration from family, friends, and relationships. Despite the challenges of the music industry, Ash remains resilient, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and taking breaks to maintain mental well-being.

When she sees new artists feeling down or frustrated, Ash talks about it. She says it’s important to be patient and understand that success takes time. She suggests taking breaks, thinking about herself, and having supportive people around as important ways to get through tough times.

Discouragement for Ash often stems from external factors, such as disagreements or the feeling of being overlooked. She stress the importance of unity among artists, especially in the male-dominated rap scene, where collaboration and mutual support lead to success.

Thinking about the future, Ash is getting ready to release her next album. She really wants to try making pop music. She has more than 500 songs, and she’s excited to share all kinds of music with everyone.
